Hello
belly bumpers, all night wakers, and rug rat chasers,
My name is Heather; I am a registered
nurse for Expecting Success, a new momma, and a serious multitasker- but what
mom isn’t?
I was raised on a farm around Cochrane and grew up
around Rodeo. I have always rode horses, enjoyed being active and being
outdoors no matter where I have lived or where other areas of my life have
taken me. I believe I learned work ethic, dedication, and perseverance from
these experiences. Rodeo scholarships lead me to Texas, where in 2009, I
received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Tech University. I came home to Alberta and started my
registered nursing career at the rural hospital at Stettler and since moved
jobs to Red Deer and Rocky Mountain House.
Recently having my first child I was determined to take
charge of my birth story so I educated myself on every natural birthing
technique and holistic approach I could find. My motto is Act rather than
React. As a new momma I believe rural roots and getting back to the basics create
a great foundation to happy and healthy children. I plan to keep growing and
striving to be the best parent I can be to my child.
All of you rural mom-to-be’s, moms, and you that are
rural at heart let’s band together and support one another. I am so excited
about this opportunity to support, educate, and bring families together.
Heather! This is so exciting! Looking forward to keeping up with your words of wisdom! : )
